LACEY The City Council is poised to lift a moratorium on large distribution centers thats been in effect for nearly a year. The council plans to amend its regulations on properties zoned for light industrial use to cap the size of new buildings at 200,000 square feet.

Fire Destroys Home, Cars, Boats
A fire Wednesday east of Babson Park on Pfunstein Road destroyed a mobile home, two vehicles, three boats, two horse trailers, a travel trailer, five sheds and lots of lawn equipment, said Heather Duckworth, a spokeswoman for Polk County Fire Services. There were no injuries.
